The Fundamentals Of Psychic Predictions

psychic predictionsA psychic is a person who is very sensitive to non-physical forces of nature, and psychic predictions are done through a broad spectrum of methods and systems, such as occultism, mysticism, metaphysics, parapsychology, and consciousness. Many do not consider these systems of predictions as science as the results so achieved cannot be verified, in the way science verifies things. The thing about psychic predictions is that it is not easy to pin down the failures of the readers.

The belief in psychic predictions is a matter of faith. If some of the psychic predictions come true, is it proof enough of its veracity? There is no doubt that there are many people who claim to be psychics, but are out and out frauds. Parapsychologists who are trying to find out evidence that psychic predictions indeed exist have their tasks made more difficult by these charlatans.

It is thought that 60 percent of the psychic experiences occur in dreams, whereas waking impressions cover 30 percent of the experiences. The balance is thought to be hallucinations, which include hearing voices, and seeing visions.

A psychic has extraordinary extrasensory perceptions, and his mental processes may include clairvoyance, dreams, healing, telekinesis, telepathy, and spiritualism, among others – some used for predictions, and some not. In brief:

• Clairvoyance is the ability of the psychic to be able to tell what is happening at the present time, in a remote place. A clairvoyant, usually, is not able to see into the future. Most people are born with the ability of clairvoyance, but they lose it with the age. The ability can be re-learned through training and through spiritual practices.

• Dreams are known to foretell events since the man first started having them. They have always been a mystery and fascinated the humans right from the beginning. Dreams are often obscure and psychics try to interpret their meanings. Interpreting dreams can be learnt, just as one would learn to drive a car.

• Psychic Healing is the ability to cure the manifestations of illness, without any known mechanical, chemical or energetic means. There have been a number of cases, since antiquity, in various cultures where healings have been effected without the use of conventional medical methods.

• Telekinesis is the ability to move, bend, twist, or be able to affect the behavior of objects from a distance. It is not a form of psychic prediction.

• Telepathy is the ability of a person to communicate thoughts with another person from a distance. Through telepathic communications, sometimes the psychic is able to predict was going to happen.

• Spiritualism is the ability of a psychic to communicate with ‘spirits’ of dead people. Through these spirits, the psychics can help predict what is likely to occur in a person’s life. The predictions are indicative and not specific.

Rules For Psychic Predictions

Just like everything else, psychic predictions, too, need to have a certain set of rules, such as:

• Recording Predictions – All serious and major predictions need to be written down in ink, dated, and published. Alternately, or in addition, they can be notarized. All these steps will prevent false claims after the event. Psychic predictions are often open to claims that they were made after the fact.

• Being Specific – Psychic predictions need to be as specific as possible, and should not be subject to ifs and buts. A lot many psychic predictions are trivial, and have no meaning. Predictions of conflict with the boss, increased sales ahead of Christmas, etc, are trivial predictions, and are likely to occur.

• Tally All Predictions – The results of all psychic predictions, right or wrong, must be tallied. This results in assessing the psychic abilities of the psychic.
