Psychic ability is a latent ability everyone possesses. It is a hidden talent you possess and is demonstrated whenever you display information, which you normally do not and should not possess. Such information does not come from the knowledge that you have learned, but from a source outside of your normal sources of knowledge. Such knowledge comes from the universal mind – the Akashic records. These are the records of all our actions on earth. Just as we have our normal five senses of hearing, feeling, seeing, smelling and tasting, this latent ability is known as the sixth sense.

How To Recognize Your Psychic Ability

Here are some of the ways:

You know who it is as soon as the telephone rings.
You know what someone is about to say just before they say it.
You feel something is about to happen and it does.
You get a sudden urge to go somewhere, and it turns out to be the right thing to do.
You get a sudden urge to go somewhere and ignore it, and it turns out that you should have.
You can understand someone's true inner feelings.
You sense some presence that you feel is helping you.
You sometimes hear an inner voice telling you about things happening in yours or someone else’s life.

Every person’s psychic ability varies in terms of strength and intensity, and it depends on what you are required to accomplish. Your psychic ability can vary from the ability to communicate with the people who have passed away, or the ability to see visions clearly, or the ability to heal, among many others.

More often than not, you will get a signal from the unknown and mysterious powers that it is time for you to develop your psychic ability. These signals, or experience, could be something like:

Hearing voices from mysterious sources.
Having visions of people or beings made from light and energy.
Seeing things that others do not see, such as a bird flying across the room or a mysterious shape floating in the air.
Seeing flashes of light where there should not be any.
Having out-of-body experiences.

You may also sense that there is something or someone around you, when you are alone; or having dreams or visions that come true. Such experiences will be very frequent, urging you to find answers to their occurrence. Exploring the world of spirits may sound scary to you, but remember what the wise sages from yore have said – you never get more than you can handle.

Your psychic ability could be one of the following, or all of them:

Clairvoyance – The ability to see things that are not visible to the normal eye.
Clairaudience – The ability to hear things no one else can hear.
Clairsentience – The ability to sense the feelings of those around you, or of the situations.
Intuition – The feeling that informs you something is true or false, or right or wrong. Your gut feeling, which turns out to be correct every time.

The other type of psychic abilities, which are not very common, are Telekinesis – moving and bending things with mind power, and Telepathy – hearing people’s thoughts.

The things you do because of your psychic abilities, do not just happen. There are entities known as your Spirit Guides, or Higher Power, who control these events. You cannot make these things happen, and neither can you stop them from happening. So, just enjoy the ride, as you will be able to handle whatever is asked of you. These things are just a step on your next life path.
