Lucy Hale was born on May 2, 1913 at Walthamstow in east of London, fourth in a family of seven children. She served in the Spiritual Churches of the surrounding area while living in Abingdon area of Oxfordshire, England. She worked as a psychic medium for 40 years. She recalls that she was not aware of any psychic abilities as a child, and had no interest in spiritualism, and would have dismissed it if spoken to about it.
Lucy Hale was 25 when she came in contact with a woman, Win, who was a Spiritualist. According to her, this woman was ‘highly talented, very attractive in appearance and manners’ and totally opposite of what she was. When Win started to talk about spiritualism, Hale was very skeptical about the whole issue, and gradually, she became intrigued about the fact that spirits could be contacted. |

Alice Anne Bailey was born as Alice LaTrobe Bateman on June 16, 1880 at Manchester, England. She was a tireless writer on subjects of occult and founded an international esoteric movement that had doctrines and practices that were advanced in nature, and unconventional. She is credited with being the one who coined the term New Age, and her writings gave rise to many aspects of such beliefs.
At the age of 15, as recounted by her, she had a memorable experience when she met a tall man in European clothes, but with a turban on his head. It was only later, when in America, she realized who this person was.

Born on January 5, 1904 in Medford, Wisconsin to German immigrant parents, Jeane Dixon was one of the best-known psychics of the 20th century. She was raised in Missouri and California, and not much is known about her personal life as she was very reluctant to release such details. She married James Dixon in 1939, and it seems they had no children.
Her psychic abilities were recognized very early, when a gypsy cheiromancer saw the lines on her palm. The Gypsy was overawed by what he saw in Dixon’s palm, who was only 8 years old, and said that she had the gift of prophesy and would become famous all over the world.

Edgar Cayce, who had psychic abilities, was born into a farming family on March 18, 1877 near Beverly, seven miles from Hopkinsville, Kentucky. He was not a highly literate man, never having gone beyond grammar school. With no background in medicine, he could diagnose illnesses, and prescribe remedies for them – while in the state of trance. He became a psychic at the age of 21 and used his abilities for healing all over the world, for the next 43 years.
His psychic powers were so enhanced that he did not require to see the patients physically. He used to go into trance, diagnose their medical condition, and prescribed a cure. Renowned for going into a trance where he diagnosed illnesses and prescribed remedies, he was popularly known as ‘the sleeping prophet.’ |
